Director of Catering, Lora Salfi

Lora Salfi was born and raised in the middle of the Sonoma Wine Country. She spent 11 years working for the Sebastiani family at Viansa Winery where she learned the fine art of food service, etiquette and event planning. During her 6 years in the events department and 5 years running the customer service department, she coordinated over 500 weddings, social events and corporate functions on the beautiful Sonoma hillside. “I learned all the basics of event planning like spatial design, food and beverage standards, timeline preparation and vendor organization.”

She left Viansa in 2006 to help a local Michelin rated restaurant launch their catering department. “I will be forever grateful to the girl & the fig restaurant for the experience I gained working in their restaurant. Restaurant is an entirely different kind of food service and I’ve found it to be so useful now that I am coordinating events for Rickey’s and the Inn Marin.”

Lora fell in love with the family run Inn Marin when she first stepped onto the back patio. Even though it was winter she saw the beautiful potential of this spacious 5 acre property. “I love meeting a client for the first time, helping them execute their vision and seeing them enjoy their wedding day.”

Lora currently resides in Marin County with her husband and two sons.
