Executive Chef

We’re proud to introduce our new Executive Chef, Kenneth Drew!

Chef Ken began his career training under European-trained Certified Executive Chefs’ Bob Brody and Jay Pastoral in San Diego, California.

His career continued at the 1100 room 4-star Sheraton Harbor Island Hotel in San Diego, where many of the hotel standards that Ken implemented are still in practice. The next phase of his career took him to San Diego’s world-famous 800 room 4-star Hotel Del Coronado as Banquet Chef, where he catered to many of the Hollywood elite as well as Presidents and former Presidents of the United States. Ken set the mark by planning and implementing a lavish 11,000-guest banquet for the America’s Cup yacht race officials, as well as performing as personal Chef for President Clinton during his week-long stay in 1995.

With his background and expertise now in both restaurants and banquets, Ken entered the culinary hub of Los Angeles as Executive Chef at the “Hotel of the Stars,” the 4-star Sheraton Universal in 1995, where he catered to the changing tastes and trends of California’s cuisine. Having impressed the Hollywood masses proved to be his springboard to the country’s foremost culinary mecca, San Francisco. His years of experience with creative ideas, theories and corporate standards are just a few of the qualities that have made Ken extremely successful in his most recent role as the Executive Chef at the 371 room 4-star Omni San Francisco Hotel.

Chef Ken Drew joined Rickey’s Restaurant in June of 2012. We look forward to incorporating new and exciting menu items as well as preserving many of our Rickey’s favorites!
